Know what you have — and why the number changed.
Inventory in Udhyami is the stock job: opening count, goods in, goods out, and an explained correction when the shelf and the record disagree. It is not a warehouse WMS, and it does not invent missing stock.
Start with a count you trust
Pick a start date, count items, and keep units consistent. Ten packets and ten kilograms are not interchangeable. A later balance is only as useful as that opening record.
Follow movements, do not overwrite them
Purchases add stock. Sales reduce stock. Damaged, missing or production goods need their own explained movement. If you only type a new total, you lose the story of why it changed.
What is not claimed
Multi-warehouse, batch/expiry, barcode hardware and automatic reorder purchasing are not promised as live for every beta user. Ask to see any of those during onboarding.
