Record the sale. Keep the due visible.
Sales is the first of Udhyami’s five jobs: what went out, who bought it, what was paid, and what remains. You do not need accounting language to keep that record.
Counter reality
During a rush it is easy to hand over goods and forget whether cash came in or went on udhar. A recorded sale is the difference between a clear day-end and a drawer that does not match.
Credit is a balance, not a second sale
When a customer pays later, record a receipt against the same person. Do not create another sale for the collection. That is how notebooks stay honest, and how software should too.
Common Questions
Questions people actually ask
Can I track udhar (customer credit) in Udhyami?
Yes. Record the sale, the amount paid and the remaining due on the customer. The team can walk through your current notebook during onboarding.
Is this only for shops?
The same sales job is used by shops, traders, small manufacturers, service businesses and home businesses. Specialist invoice formats are confirmed in beta, not assumed.
Is Udhyami the same as Udyam MSME registration?
No. Udhyami (with an h) is a ManTech Studio business-management product for everyday sales, purchases, stock and money records. It is not the Government of India Udyam registration portal and does not issue Udyam certificates.
Can I start using Udhyami today without talking to the team?
Udhyami is in a closed beta. Request access from the contact page. The team confirms which workflows are available for your business before onboarding. Requesting access is not a paid subscription.
